Firewood is a functional wood type in Sons of the Forest.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Fire wood is fairly helpful for setting up a long term fire, especially after Patch 01. To create firewood, take a log that has been vertically cut in half (in other words, thin sliced.) from there you can cut it into 4 smaller pieces just as you would cut a log any other way and after that you can pick up the log and place it on your fire to make it burn longer. On top of this, they also last a good while.
Storing Firewood If you are looking to store a large amount of firewood long term, you can place it on the ground as well. Similar to how you place them in a campfire, take the small pieces of firewood and place them directly on the ground. It should be noted that these piles can only be placed on natural ground, not on the floors of structures.
