Sluggy

Sluggy or The Blob, named after its sheer size, distorted features, and similarity to a giant slug, is an enemy in Sons of the Forest. As a creepy mutant, it appears to be within a bunker.

Appearance

Sluggy is a large mutated mass of flesh that appears to have humanoid appendages, it is a faceless and legless mutant that can only move by sliding along the ground. However, it possesses multiple arms and is able to release large screeches when attacking the player. Its sheer size and distorted features give it the nickname "The Blob."

Gameplay

It is currently unknown as to what the Sluggy’s attacks are due to the fact that it doesn't currently naturally spawn on the surface. It's only current known ability is birthing large amounts of mutant babies.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

• Very high armor
• Very high health
• High electrical stun resistance
• Strong against arrow-fire, blunt trauma, bladed weapons, small caliber firearms and fire.

Weaknesses

• Slow and large
• Slightly susceptible to shotgun rounds.
• Vulnerable to Time Bombs and Grenades.

Spawning

The Sluggy can be found in some caves (such as the Shovel Cave) and is used to block doorways and paths.

Currently, the Sluggy does not spawn on the surface, but it can be spawned using unofficial console commands. When spawned, it moves in one direction and ignores any forms of life and will not attack the player. It is not a solid entity and will eventually move far enough to fall off the map.

Trivia

• The "PINATA" achievement can be earned by blowing up a Sluggy with an explosive weapon.

• It is not confirmed whether they are the same mutant, but a large blob can be located in the Sahara Therapeutics Laboratory in the first game, within Observation Room H. This blob appears to be lifeless, taking up the entire space in the room.
