List of unimplemented content[edit | edit source]

Advanced cooking system[edit | edit source]

In a March 3, 2023 Q&A, Endnight Games revealed that they were working on a more advanced system for cooking food, to be introduced in a future update.

More animals are planned, but bears and wolves are not currently planned.

Companion updates[edit | edit source]

In the March 3, 2023 Q&A, Endnight stated that they plan on adding additional tasks for Kelvin to complete, such as building walls and other structures, as well as repairing them. Virginia will be more brave depending on if she is wielding a weapon, and how many enemies she has killed.

Enemies[edit | edit source]

Endnight stated that additional variations of existing enemies in the game may be implemented in the future in the March 3, 2023 Q&A.

In addition, more ambient actions from cannibals are planned, as well as additional camp structures.

Log Sled[edit | edit source]

In the March 3, 2023 developer Q&A, Endnight confirmed that the Log Sled from The Forest will likely be returning in a future update due to popular demand.

Rifle[edit | edit source]

In one of the pre-release trailers, a rifle is seen in the inventory. It is planned to be implemented in a future update.

Story[edit | edit source]

In the March 3, 2023 Q&A, Endnight confirmed that the game's story will receive additional cutscenes and be expanded upon with new locations to discover.

Transportation[edit | edit source]

In the March 3, 2023 Q&A, Endnight teased a new form of transportation, but did not go into detail in case it does not work with the environment (presumably, it is the golf cart). In Patch 03, the Knight V was added as a vehicle.

Unknown giant mutant[edit | edit source]

An unknown, giant creepy mutant can be spotted briefly in one of the game's trailers attacking a helicopter. In the March 3, 2023 Q&A, Endnight Games confirmed there was at least one enemy not ready for the first version of Early Access, suggesting this could be the enemy, or something else entirely.
