Fingers / Ronnies (name is both singular and plural) are enemies in Sons of the Forest. They're relatively common creepy mutants, which appear both on the surface and in caves.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Fingers are mostly humanoid, although faceless and armless mutants who possess a massive maw extending across their torso, neck and head. They possess finger-like appendages around the maw which seemingly serve as teeth or body parts intended for eating prey.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Fingers are naturally hostile. Upon noticing a player or surface cannibal, the given Fingers will approach the player and attempt to kill them by chasing and swinging their whole body at their adversary. When at a certain distance form the player, a Fingers will initiate a charge, allowing it to run much faster than the player. This makes one of the fastest enemies the game and thus especially dangerous when in an open space.

Fingers are common inside caves, but can also spawn on the surface after caves have been opened, leading to Creepy takeover events of cannibal villages. Fingers can often be seen eating cannibal corpses and spitting on structures or cave walls from a distance. Sometimes, a Fingers can be found tied up in a cannibal camp, unable to attack or escape on its own; the player can either leave it captured or destroy the rope freeing it to fight either the player or the cannibal inhabitants.
