Tim LeBlanc portrait

Timmy LeBlanc is a significant character in the game's storyline, as he is the son of Eric LeBlanc. Timmy is a renowned physicist and published author. His role in the story has yet to be fully revealed.

History[edit | edit source]

In a desperate bid to save his son's life following the events of The Forest, Eric LeBlanc would use an unstable artifact called The Obelisk. Bringing Timmy back to live however was not without cost, as the then young boy would find himself afflicted by malignant physical aberrations. Adamant to find a cure, Timmy would over the course of the next decade study advanced physics, most precisely the existence and nature of parallel universes on which he published a best-seller book.

Shortly prior to the activation of the Cube, a PuffCorp scientist by the name of Dr. Tetsu Masaid would elevate concerns to Edward Puffton about the hasty study of Cube, demanding that the soft opening of Holosprings be post-poned and the island evacuated as soon as possible. These concerns, however, would fall on deaf ears. Determined to find out about the true nature of the Cube, Dr. Tetsu contacts Timmy Leblanc, seeking his deeper expertise on trans-dimensional physics. Seeing a path to a possible cure for his conditions, Timmy eagerly accepts the opportunity and packs up for the Island. On arrival, Timmy is greeted by a scene of devastation and hordes of mutants roaming the Island. With time against him, Timmy rushes through Holosprings in search of the Cube before its next activation. In his journey, he stumbles upon an ally of circumstances, Jack Holt, and a relentless rival who is also searching for the cube, Jianyu Zhang. After locating the entrance to the cave where the Cube is located, Timmy finds himself before a locked door. However, Jack Holt auspiciously arrives with its key and opens the way for both him and Timmy. As they rush through the infernal underground of the Island, fighting their way through hordes of Demons, they finally reach the Cube mere seconds before activation. As the Cube activates however, Timmy comes to realize that not only it has not cured him, but made his condition worst. As Timmy rushes out of the cave with Jack to leave the Island with an evacuation team, Jianyu Zhang, who was locked out of the Cube and as a result turned into a horribly mutated towering beast, emerges from the ground. After attempting to fight Jianyu with his mutated arms, Timmy is knocked out of action. Once Jack manages to defeat Jianyu, Timmy regains consciousness and joins Eric in the helicopter with the evacuation team.

In the prologue, Timmy is seen in a doctor’s office; his condition has deteriorated significantly, leaving him horribly disfigured and riddled with nervous spasms. As the doctor reiterates that he cannot help him, Timmy places a piece of Solafite before him, intriguing the physician. This material would ultimately become the key in developing a treatment for his condition, successfully curing it entierly. This new medical breakthrough took the medical world by storm over the next several years, thrusting Timmy at the head of a pharmaceutical empire. Years later, immense deposits of solafite are discovered on an unknown island. Timmy purchases this island and presumably moves there to supervise operations. However, things take a turn for the worst when Timmy is reported missing after several months of radio silence, just like Edward Puffton.

Ingame[edit | edit source]

Timmy is a fully modeled entity that can interact with the game world. Timmy only appears twice in the game outside of cutscenes however. The first in-game appearance is at the Hell Cave door, looking for a way to open it and providing hints to the player. The second is during the journey through the Hell Cave after the door is opened; Timmy will lead the way towards the Cube, shooting any enemy they pass. During the Demon Boss Fight however, Timmy will block the entrance of the path to the Cube until the boss is defeated, occasionally shooting at it when close enough.
