3D Printer
The 3D Printer is used to create new items in Sons of the Forest, using Printer Resin. There are a total of 5 3D printers that can be found on the Island.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
3D Printers are connected to a laptop interface offering a selection of various items to print. To fabricate those items however, the Printer must be filled with a sufficient amount of Printer Resin. Every Printer will start empty on Resin. However, there is usually a small amount of Resin cartridges laying around nearby, allowing players to print less-expensive items right away. Filling a 3D Printer will use all of the Resin the player currently has on them and, once put in a Printer, the Resin cannot be retrieved.
3D Printers are a great early game asset, as basic items such as 3D Printed Arrows and the Printed Flask are relatively inexpensive to fabricate. 3D Printers are also essential for crafting large networks of ziplines, as Zipline Ropes are rare to be found naturally.
