The shovel is a tool that can be used for digging all throughout The Island. It can be used to uncover hatches into maintenance sites, dig up graves to access the loot within, and anywhere else that's diggable for a small chance to dig up coins and small stones.

The shovel can be found in the Shovel Cave, which first requires obtaining the Rebreather and Rope Gun in order to reach the shovel. The shovel is located at the end of the cave, laying on a maintenance worker's lap.
