Ancient Armor

The Ancient Armor is a progression item tied to the main story of the game. Despite its name, it is not equipped how other armor items in the game are equipped, and instead functions as an outfit that replaces the players' equipped armor and clothing. While normal armor items fill the segmented armor section of the HUD, the ancient armor will remove the smaller segments and provide the player with a single, large yellow segment on the HUD.

Upon initially obtaining the armor, it has a dull bronze appearance. It can be upgraded using an Armor Plater, which will give it a brighter golden-colored appearance of the solafite material that gets used to plate it. After upgrading the armor, it can then be used to unlock the door in the final cave leading up to the boss fight.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Ancient Armor provides a unique form of protection compared to other armors, in that it provides a flat 30% decrease to all damage received from cannibals and mutants. It also greatly diminishes the damage a player would receive from a Demon, often trivializing encounters with them. Putting on the Ancient Armor will automatically stash any currently worn armor pieces in the inventory. Pieces exceeding the maximum inventory storage capacity will be dropped while damaged armor pieces will be destroyed.
