Solafite

Solafite is an ore found underground throughout various cave systems on the island. Once the player obtains the Pickaxe, they can collect and use solafite to upgrade various weapons and tools.

Description[edit | edit source]

Solafite takes the appearance of an amber-golden material, found naturally as large, cluttered veins around the Island, either in caves or in the snowy heights of the mountains. According to a newspaper clipping, this material has exceptional resilience and conductivity, touted as being the foundation to a major technological breakthrough. However, it also seems to possess other strange, undisclosed properties, notably some form of energy radiation. Despite the novelty of this material for PuffCorp, it seems to have been extensively used by an unknown long-extinct civilization, as evidenced by the imposing ruins and artefacts found below the surface that seems to all be made of Solafite.

Solafite Plating[edit | edit source]

Solafite Plating is a process added in Patch 12 allowing to upgrade applicable weapons to their solafite variants. It is done through a player-built structure allowing to smelt the solafite and plate the item, adding roughly 30% more damage dealt.

Weapons applicable for upgrading[edit | edit source]

In total, you will need 84 pieces of solafite ore to upgrade every weapon currently available for plating.

Solafite Storm[edit | edit source]

Solafite Storms are an exceptional meteorological event caused by the extremely powerful energy disturbance of the Solafite. Solafite Storms will attract mutants to its source. Currently, there are two actions in the game that can cause a Solafite Storm :
