Shotgun
Overview[edit | edit source]
The Shotgun in Sons of the Forest is a powerful ranged weapon that can be loaded with two types of ammo: Buckshot Ammo and Slug Ammo. It’s located in a grave marked with a purple GPS locator in the northwestern part of the island. You’ll need the Shovel to dig it up. The Shotgun is highly effective at close range, especially with buckshot ammo.
Usage[edit | edit source]
The Shotgun is ideal for close-range combat, with Buckshot Ammo dealing devastating damage but limited accuracy at longer distances. Slug Ammo offers better range and accuracy but less damage. The shotgun has a slow reload time, so plan your shots carefully.
Tips & Tricks[edit | edit source]
- Use Buckshot Ammo for close-range enemies like mutants and larger threats.
- Save Slug Ammo for more precise shots at medium range, conserving ammo when necessary.
- You can add the Solafite Plating to enhance both the visuals and damage output.
Worth it?[edit | edit source]
Absolutely! The Shotgun is one of the most powerful non-explosive weapons in the game, perfect for taking down tough enemies quickly. Its high damage makes it an essential weapon for later stages of the game.
