This Page catalogs Cut Features from Sons of the Forest. Things such as Features talked about in Interviews, seen in Trailers, removed during the Early Access period, or found within the Game Files
Some of these features may make it into the game at some point.

Stick Ladder[edit | edit source]
A Cut Structure found in the files, it seems to be added very early, it may still be added back because most of the files are still intact and can still be spawned, it would cost sticks and ducttape
Old Bed Recipe[edit | edit source]
An old icon for the Stick Bed blueprint shows it would require Rope instead of Duct tape
Storage Box[edit | edit source]
An structure that was meant to store items, probably removed in favor of shelves
Rock Wall[edit | edit source]
Originally it seems you would be able to use rocks to make was and probably other structures, cut in favor of stones, it seems to be cut late into development
Rafts[edit | edit source]
Originally you would be able to build rafts like in the first game, seems to be cut very early in development. Probably will return someday
Contact Trigger Trap[edit | edit source]
A Cut trap type. It seems to be a all in one version of the Molotov trap, Grenade trap, and Spring trap, you would also be able to put leaves over it
Bone Fences and Spikes[edit | edit source]
it seems like you would be able to place bones like sticks to create Spikes, Fences, and other stick objects

Probably cut in favor of the tarp

Air gun[edit | edit source]
A Cut Dart Gun that would be able to fire Sleeping Darts and Tracker Darts
Air gun Scope[edit | edit source]
Used with the Air gun

Seems to be used on the Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle, and Crossbow
Rifle Rail[edit | edit source]
Used to put attachments on the Rifle, like the scope shown above
Climbing Axe[edit | edit source]
A cut item Similar to the item from the first game, it would have probably allowed you to climb cave walls and cliffs
3d Printed Knife[edit | edit source]
It is unknown what the difference between this and the Utility Knife would have been
3d Printed Under Water Mask[edit | edit source]
Probably an early game version of the Rebreather
Food Tray[edit | edit source]
Probably used like the Food Tray item from the First game
Quiver[edit | edit source]
Used with the crossbow, unknown if it would have increased ammo stack size or something else
Laser Measure Tool[edit | edit source]
Item that could have been used to build blueprints, like a mix between The Forest building system and Sons of the Forest building system
Battery Charger[edit | edit source]
Cut Charger Item, probably have been used to Charge items like the chainsaw and Flashlight
Creepy Meat[edit | edit source]
Meat you would have gotten from Mutants
Gold Stun Baton[edit | edit source]
Files suggest you would have originally been able to plate the Stun Baton

Old Animations[edit | edit source]
Animations from The Forest like Swimming into water cave entrances and the cannibal kidnapping animation are still in the files, it is unknown if they were planned to appear
Old Capture Animations[edit | edit source]
Animations in the files show that at one point There would be more animations when captured other than the ones in game right now such as waking up under bodies and waking up in a coffin.
Enemies/characters[edit | edit source]
Cannibal Zipline Animation[edit | edit source]
A Animation in the files show that at one point cannibals were planned to ride ziplines, this can also be heard as a planned feature in one of the interviews
Male Cannibal Crying[edit | edit source]
Sounds in the Game Files show that Male Cannibals were at one point planned to cry over bodies, this was scrapped and reserved for Female Cannibals
Twins "Tank Form"[edit | edit source]
There are several animations that show that one of the two Twins could flip over on the top of the other and from into a "Tank Form". It is unknown if this was planned to be an ability or a separate enemy. This could likely be added in the future
Final Boss Animations[edit | edit source]
Unfinished Animations suggest that at one point the Final Boss was planned to be able to attack structures and be stunned by the stun gun. This could likely be implemented if the boss could spawn similarly to the Demon Boss
Timmy NPC[edit | edit source]
Files now removed suggest that at one point it was planned for Timmy to be an NPC in the world that would, set up camps, drink and get drunk, and attack the player and other enemies
